Junior Quantity Surveyor
Permanent Position
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and assist in delivering a variety of commercial and residential projects. This position is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified professional to develop their skills and gain valuable experience across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cost estimation and budget preparation for commercial and residential projects
- Conduct measurements and quantification of materials
- Support cost control and monitor project expenditure
- Assist with valuations, interim payments, and final accounts
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams
- Maintain accurate records and project documentation
- Support procurement processes and supplier negotiations
Essential Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (BSc/BTech or equivalent) with proof of certification
- Understanding of construction methods and materials
- Basic knowledge of measurement standards and costing principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication abilities
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar)
- Exposure to both commercial and residential projects
- Valid driver’s license
